Milk in Virginia

The model proposed by J.H. Von Thünen describes a pattern of what crops will be grown near a city, and what will be grown at a distance. The development of the Orange and Alexandria Railroad in the 1840's reshaped the pattern of dairy production in Northern Virginia.
